Soccer Mums

Protecting professional sports people and referees at elite level is under constant observation.  It is very important that we protect children and referees at grass roots level.  Young children and up and coming referees should not feel under pressure or threatened while participating in sport.  We as a society want our children to enjoy and look forward to playing and being able to express themselves and their ability through sport.  From an early age we must promote and encourage fairplay and sportsmanship through sport.

I believe that the don't x the line campaign will help to achieve this!

Getting you involved

By getting yourself involved with the don’t x the line campaign, you can help by monitoring your touch line behaviour, making sure that the children who play the game enjoy the game win, lose, or draw.

Encourage respect and sportsmanship not just on the sidelines but on the field of play.

Make sure all involved in the running of the team are crb checked, hold a current child protection certificate, and the manager/coach holds a level one coaching certificate, or applied for it, also required is a first aid certificate, you can ask to view these anytime.

All supporters should be on their own touchline for safety reasons please make a point of knowing all parents and supporters on your touchline.

All the instructions given to the team should be given by the manager/coach only. A child should never be blamed or ridiculed for mistakes.

The referee’s decision is final! Once a decision has been made it won’t be changed, respect the decision without question.

No verbal abuse, aggression, bullying, racist remarks or drug use, shall be used, a zero tolerance stance shall be adopted on and off the pitch.

Encourage parents/supporters & players to shake hands in all competitions. You can make a difference join us now and make a safer environment.
